The disadvantages of the old ring furnace in graphite electrode

The disadvantage of the old ring furnace is that the temperature difference between the upper and lower chambers is large, which seriously affects the uniformity of the quality of the upper and lower layers. Secondly, the structure of the furnace is unreasonable, the airtightness is poor, and the air leakage is large. Therefore, the amount of exhaust gas is large and the energy consumption is high.

There are 4 improvements in the ring roaster

  • 1. Furnace structure
  • 2. Combustion system.
  • 3. Install the furnace operating system and cooling system.
  • 4. Flue gas purification system.
 

There are 7 aspects to the improvement of the furnace structure.

  • (1) Appropriately expand all types of fire passages or flue sections, reduce the resistance when the airflow passes, improve the heat conduction efficiency, and help to reduce the temperature difference between the upper and lower chambers.
  • (2) Properly reduce the width of the electrode box,
  • (3) In order to prevent the deformation of the furnace wall, the sides of the charging box are formed into an arc protruding to one side.
  • (4) Do a good job of sealing the furnace chamber to prevent the volatiles from directly entering the hollow brick fire passage.
  • (5) The furnace cover is made of refractory bricks mixed with ceramic fibers to reduce the heat loss through the furnace cover and prolong the service life of the furnace cover.
  • (6) Different parts of the furnace body are made of refractory materials of different materials.
  • (7) The exhaust pipe is made of metal pipes with built-in refractory bricks.

Fuel design of the combustion unit in graphite electrode

According to different types of fuels, high-efficiency, easy-to-adjust fuel consumption is convenient to operate. Generally, a mobile combustion rack is used to supply fuel to the roaster.
 

How to improve the working conditions of loading and unloading filler

Pipes, fans and filling silos are separately installed on both sides of the furnace to load and unload the filling materials of the furnace chamber to realize wind transportation to improve the working conditions of loading and unloading the filling materials. In order to shorten the production cycle and increase the output, if necessary, a cooling fan of the ash furnace chamber is provided with a dedicated cooling fan to appropriately accelerate the product cooling.

Before the electric precipitator, a water cooling tower should be installed, the spraying method should be used to cool the flue gas, and then the tar in the exhaust gas is collected by the electric precipitator, so that the exhausted exhaust gas meets the requirements of environmental protection standards.
